POLICIES

 

What do I need to know about booking?

  • Reservations can be made online at prairieridge.ca (Must be at least 18 years of age to reserve a campsite).

  • All weekend bookings have a 2 night minimum.

  • Long weekends have a 3 night minimum.

  • Single nights will be available from Sunday-Thursday only.

  • Rates shown are per accommodation, per night and are subject to applicable taxes.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice; however, your price is guaranteed upon payment.

  • Off season pricing will apply from after September long weekend up until May long weekend.

 

What are the Dome, Shanty and Tent capacities?

  • Maximum capacity of Moonlight and Stardust domes is 5 guests. Pricing includes 4 guests.

  • Maximum capacity of Dragonfly and Honey Bee domes is 2 guests. Pricing includes 2 guests.

  • Maximum capacity of the Cottonwood Cabin is 4 guests. Pricing includes 2 guests.

  • Maximum capacity of the Magnolia and Willow Stargazer tents is 4 guests. Pricing includes 2 guests.

  • Maximum capacity of Tiger Lily, Bluebell, and Sunflower tents is 4 guests. Pricing includes 2 guests.

  • We do not have an additional charge for minors under the age 18.

  • Additional adult guests are $25/night.

What about families?

  • Our Resort is family friendly; however, children and infants must be under active supervision by a parent or guardian at all times.

  • All responsibility and duty of care for them must be provided by you the parent / guardian, including their personal equipment and needs. 

  • Prairie Ridge Orchard and Resort does not assume any liability for any harm caused to children on our property.​

Is smoking/vaping permitted?

  • Smoking/vaping is not allowed in any of our Domes, Cabin or Tents.  Smoking/vaping is permitted outside of the accommodations only.

​

Are you pet friendly?

  • Yes, pets are welcome! We have a $30 fee per pet, per stay.

  • We ask that they are kept on a leash and the owner cleans up after them.

  • Pets are not to be left unattended in your Dome or tent at any time unless kenneled.

 

Where can we park?

  • Only park in the designated parking that will be clearly marked. 

  • Non-licensed motor vehicles are not allowed to be operated on campground property.

  • Wagons will be available to load your luggage, as there will be a short walk to your accommodation.

Is swimming allowed?

  • Beach and swimming areas are unsupervised. Beware of shifting sandbars in the river and varying water levels. Enter at your own risk. Parent/Guardians are responsible for their child’s safety.

What is the damage deposit?

  • We require a damage deposit of $500 for the Domes and Cabin and $250 for the Tents. This will be pre-authorized on your credit card on the day you check in, and will be valid for 7 days.

  • If there are no charges for damages after your stay the pre-authorization will expire. If the pre-authorization fails you will be required to provide cash, which will be returned to you after an inspection of the property at check out.

  • Camper agrees to reimburse Prairie Ridge Orchard and Resort for any property or amenities damaged beyond normal wear and tear as well as compensate any misplaced items.  

  • Recycling is encouraged and along with trash must be left neatly in receptacles provided at the campsite or bathrooms. If site is left unkept, an additional fee may be charged.

 

Do you offer gift certificates?

  • Yes, we do offer gift certificates.

  • Gift certificates may be redeemed when making a reservation online.

What is our Cancellation + Change policy?

  • 100% is due at time of booking. Payment is available via credit card through our online booking system.

  • Cancellations with 30 or more days notice will be subject to an administration fee of $30.

  • Cancellations with 14-30 days notice will forfeit 50% of booking total.

  • Cancellations with less than 14 days notice will forfeit the entire amount of the reservation.

  • A refund will be granted if we are able to re-book the cancelled dates.

  • Changes can be made up to 30 days in advance by emailing prairieridgeresort@gmail.com

  • Flood cancellation/rescheduling: We lay within a seasonal flood zone and reserve the right to cancel (with an attempt to reschedule) a booking at anytime. A refund will be processed with 5 business days if rescheduling is not possible.

  • Camping is an outdoor experience. Therefore, no reimbursement will be approved for discomforts of nature including rain, snow, temperature change and insects.​

 

Is alcohol permitted?

  • Alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the reservation holder’s accommodation and on their assigned campsite, in accordance with THE ALCOHOL AND GAMING REGULATIONS ACT. 1997, as per section 107 (1) per 139 (1).

Is there a liability waiver?

  • Reservation holder must complete and sign a liability waiver prior to arrival. 

  • Prairie Ridge Orchard and Resort is not liable for any damages or theft of property or any harm that may happen to patrons during their stay.

  • We do have wildlife on the property. Please be cautious and respect the wildlife around you.  Prairie Ridge Orchard & Resort is not liable for any harm caused by wildlife.

  • There are no lifeguards on duty.  Swim at your own risk.   

  • Parents are responsible for their children, especially when in and around the river!

What time is check-in + check-out?

  • Check-in is 4 pm.

  • Check-out is at 11 am. Late check-out is not available; however, you are welcome to stay on the property to enjoy our amenities after 11 am.

Is there power and wifi?

  • Power will be provided to the Domes and the Shanty.

  • Magnolia and Willow have one power outlet.

  • Just like camping, there are no outlets in the tents which means no mini fridge or microwave.

  • Currently Wifi is unavailable.

What are the public areas?

  • Trails, picnic tables, and resting areas are shared areas. Please be mindful of noise levels, garbage, and others waiting to use them, etc.

 

What about large parties/ events?

  • Parties and events are only allowed if approved by Prairie Ridge Orchard and Resort prior to booking.   

  • Although 1 or 2 additional guests are welcome, if they are not listed on your booking they are not allowed to stay past quiet time 11 PM.

  • Please keep sound and light to a minimum between 11 PM and 8 AM.

  • Prairie Ridge Orchard and Resort is proud to offer a luxuriously comfortable glamping experience. We hope you and your family will continue to return to for years to come. To be able to have this continued experience, guests who exhibit any dangerous or undesirable behaviour may be asked to leave the resort and will forfeit payment.

What are the rules for using firepits?

  • Please make sure all fires are fully extinguished prior to leaving the firepit area.

  • Firewood is provided free of charge for the wood stoves and fire pits. Campfires must be kept at a reasonable size inside the fire pit area and fully extinguished before going to bed or leaving your campsite. 

  • Do not chop, cut or collect trees for burning as firewood is provided. 

  • The fire pits and picnic tables are not to be moved in or from your site. 

  • We encourage guests to be responsible on how much wood they burn.

What is your Privacy Policy?

  • As in common with other websites, log files are stored on web server saving details such as visitors IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.

  • Where registration is required, the visitors email will be stored on the server.

  • The information collected is used to enhance your experience when using the website. Email addresses will not be sold, rented, or leased to third parties.

 

These rules and regulations are made for your protection and the enjoyment of all campers. Any violation of these may result in additional fees and/or eviction without refund.
